Adrian Wall

Adrian co-founded WCA in 2006 with an eye towards advising Latin American clients on doing business in Greater China. Since then, he has developed the business to include advisory services for Chinese firms looking to bring their business overseas. Consequently, WCA specializes in cross-border M&A transactions between China and the emerging markets of Latin America, Africa, and South East Asia. WCA also provides financial advisory services and pre-acquisition due diligence in a diverse array of industries including real estate, media, manufacturing, energy, agribusiness, natural resources, and mining.

Prior to founding WCA, Adrian spent over 2 years as a Senior Manager in the Shanghai office of ALC Advisors, a Chicago-based boutique investment bank, where he formed and managed various joint ventures, largely in the middle-market manufacturing industry for multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Before relocating to Shanghai, Adrian worked as a Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its New York and Washington D.C. offices. There, he led a team responsible for both the marketing and execution of PwC’s accounting, auditing, and consulting services to US clients located on the east coast.

Having lived in China since 2004, Adrian has excellent connections with senior China officials and extensive business experience in the major commercial geographical areas in China. Adrian holds a B.A. (cum laude) in Economics from Harvard University and speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

Shinn Chen

Shinn is currently the Director of Investments at Wall Capital Advisors. He has analyzed, advised, and managed investments in infrastructure, mining, natural resources, real estate and consumer goods, primarily in the Chinese, Southeast Asian and Latin American markets. Before WCA, he worked as a consultant at Bluewolf Group, a technology consulting firm in New York City. There he oversaw groups of programmers and coordinated projects for major accounts including NBC Universal, Hess Corporation, Advance Publications and Wall Street Journal.

Shinn holds a B.A. (cum laude) in Economics and a secondary concentration in East Asian Studies from Harvard University. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Selena Zhang

Selena is currently a Project Manager at Wall Capital Advisors. She has preformed due diligence and advised on steel production, infrastructure, mining, palm oil, forestry and timber deals primarily in the China and Latin American markets. Before coming to WCA, she worked 2 years as a sales manager at F-diesel, a diesel engine products and services supplier based in Shanghai. She focused on marketing and sales in Latin America and Spain.
Selena graduated from Shanghai International Studies University with B.A. degree in Spanish Philology and Literature. She obtained excellent grade in both TEM8 (Test for English Majors-band 8) and EEE8 (Test for Spanish Majors-band 8. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Mandarin. She also passed Securities qualification examination in 2008.

Nik Chau

Nik is currently an Executive Director at WCA in charge of managing corporate relations with senior government officials in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shandong Province on behalf of the company. His close ties with local government provides access to superior deal flow and accurate research in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining WCA, Nik spent two years as Business Development Manager of Zhongbang Culture Media Company – the privatized commercial arm of Shandong Television, the second-largest broadcaster in China behind CCTV. In addition to media, Nik’s experience in China includes telecommunications and residential real estate development in both primary and second-tier cities in China

Nik is currently a board member of the Shanghai Business and Cultural Development Cooperative, a subsidiary of the Bureau of Propaganda for the Shanghai Municipal Government charged with liaising between foreign investors and local business authorities. Nik maintains excellent relationships with municipal and state government officials throughout China, including former President Jiang Zeming.

Nik holds a B.A. in Economics from Boston University and speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Shanghainese and Cantonese. Nik is near-fluent in Japanese and Korean.
